Working with this talk really touched me and brought me fond memories of my childhood. Before I left my parents' house to go to university, I don't recall us not having lunch or at least dinner together as a family. Those were the times to share the events of the day from school or from work, talk about the latest news, discuss important family decisions and many more. Now that I have my own family (my husband) and I live in a new my adoptive country, sitting down at the table to have a meal at least once a day, away from our computers, phones, TV and busy lives, it's a blessed time. We might not always have a lot of important things to discuss, but just the company and being in the moment to enjoy our food and each other is what reminds me daily that, no matter how hectic or difficult life might be at that moment, there's always time for family.

Trabajar con esta charla realmente me conmovió y me trajo hermosos recuerdos de mi niñez. Antes de dejar la casa de mis padres para ir a la universidad, no recuerdo ninguna vez que no hayamos almorzado o al menos cenado en familia. Esos eran los momentos para compartir los eventos del día en la escuela o en el trabajo, conversar sobre las últimas noticias, hablar sobre importantes decisiones familiares y mucho más. Ahora que tengo mi propia familia (mi esposo) y que vivo en mi nuevo país adoptivo, sentarnos a la mesa a comer por lo menos una vez al día, sin nuestras computadoras, teléfonos, TV y vida agitada, es una bendición. Quizá no siempre tengamos cosas importantes de qué hablar pero la compañía y estar en el momento, juntos y disfrutando de nuestra comida es lo que me recuerda a diario que sin importar qué ocupados estemos o por cuántas dificultades estemos pasando, siempre hay tiempo para compartir en familia.
